Alexion Recognized As One Of THE Fastest Growing Companies
Alexion recently received two awards in recognition of the Company’s significant revenue growth in recent years and for its status as one of the fastest growing companies in the tri-state area of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.The Connecticut Technology Council and the accounting firm UHY LLP named Alexion overall winner of the evening during its Annual Tech Top 40 Awards ceremony in October, based on revenue growth over the past four years. Also during the ceremony, Alexion was named the winner in the life sciences category; this award was based on both revenue growth and an assessment of the Company’s overall contribution to state’s growing technology sector. The Connecticut Technology Council is a statewide association of technology-oriented companies and institutions providing leadership in areas of policy advocacy, community building, and assistance for growing companies. Forty of the fastest growing companies in the state are ranked and recognized each year during this event.Alexion was also recently recognized as the seventh fastest growing company at Deloitte’s 2009 Tri-State Technology Fast 500 awards, an annual ranking of the fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. The Company ranked #36 in Deloitte’s national ranking. Winners were selected based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth during the five year period from 2004 through 2008.
